Systems looked after before you have to chase them

IT is only noticed when it stops. The aim of this work is a week where email just works, files are where people left them, and nobody is waiting on a password reset.

Discuss this service

Most small and mid sized companies grow their IT by accident. A server bought years ago, email on a mix of free and paid accounts, backups that someone set up and nobody checks, antivirus that expired quietly. It works until the day it does not, and then the whole office stops.

We start with an honest picture of what you are running, who has access to what, and where a single failure would hurt most. Then we fix in order of risk. A restore you have actually tested matters more than a new firewall, and both matter more than new hardware.

After that, it becomes a routine rather than a series of emergencies. Someone watches the alerts, applies updates, adds and removes staff accounts properly, and answers your team when a laptop misbehaves. You get one number to call instead of three vendors pointing at each other.

What you end up with

  • Fewer lost mornings

Monitoring catches a filling disk or an expiring certificate in the week before it would have stopped the office on a Monday morning.

  • Recovery you have tested

If a machine dies or a file is deleted, you already know where the copy is and how long it takes.

  • Access under control

Staff get what their role needs on the first day and lose it on the last, without anyone hunting for old logins.

  • One accountable team

When something fails, there is a single point of ownership instead of a discussion between your internet, hardware and software vendors.

What's included in IT Solutions & Support

The work we take responsibility for, written plainly so there is no argument later about what was in scope.

  • Infrastructure review

A written picture of your servers, network, devices, licences and who administers them, with the risks listed in the order we would fix them.

  • Cloud and migration

Moving files, servers and workloads to cloud where it lowers cost or risk, and keeping them on site where it does not. The comparison is run against your current electricity, licence and hardware replacement costs before anything moves.

  • Email and identity

Business email on a domain you own, with single sign on, strong authentication, shared drives and a clean joining and leaving process for staff accounts.

  • Backup and recovery

Backups that run to more than one place, with a restore tested on a real file and a written answer to how long recovery would take.

  • Endpoint security

Managed protection on laptops and desktops, disk encryption, patching, and control over who can install what. Reported monthly so you know it is still on.

  • Monitoring and helpdesk

Alerts on disks, uptime, backups and certificates before they become outages, and a support desk your staff can reach for the everyday problems.

How we deliver IT Solutions & Support

The same five steps run through every engagement. Here is what each one means for this service.

  1. 1

    Understand

Map the estate and its risks

We inventory devices, servers, accounts, licences and vendors, then find the places where one failure or one departing employee would cause real damage.

  2. 2

    Strategize

    Fix in order of risk

You get a short plan that separates what must be corrected this month, what can wait a quarter, and what is simply worth knowing about.

  3. 3

    Build

    Set up and migrate

We implement the agreed changes out of working hours where possible, migrate email and files with the old setup kept available until the new one settles.

  4. 4

    Optimize

    Watch, patch and report

Monitoring runs continuously, updates are applied on a schedule, and you receive a plain summary of what broke, what was fixed and what needs a decision.

  5. 5

    Scale

Add branches to the same setup

New staff, new branches and new applications join the same identity, backup and security setup. You end up with one estate to run, not a second one bolted onto the side of the first.

What clients ask before they start

We have one person handling IT. Do we replace them?
Usually not. An internal person knows your people and your floor, which we never will as quickly. We take the parts that need tooling and cover, such as monitoring, backups, patching and after hours failures, and leave them free for the work that needs someone on site.
Should we move everything to the cloud?
Not automatically. Cloud suits email, collaboration and anything your team needs from outside the office. Heavy local workloads, machines on a shop floor and applications tied to a specific device often stay where they are. We compare the running cost against your current setup before recommending a move.
How do you handle support requests day to day?
Your team raises a request by email, phone or WhatsApp and it is logged, so nothing depends on one engineer remembering. Most issues are handled remotely. Site visits happen for hardware and network faults. You get a monthly view of what was raised and how long each item took.
Our current setup was built by someone else. Will you take it over?
Yes. We document what exists first, including the parts nobody can explain, and get the administrator access transferred properly. Where the previous work is sound, we keep it. Where it creates risk, we tell you what we would change and why, and you decide the order.
What happens if we are hit by ransomware?
The answer is decided before it happens. Offline or immutable copies of your data, tested restores, limited administrator rights and separation between systems are what decide whether you lose an afternoon or a quarter. We also write a short response plan naming who calls whom.
